Most of the furniture in this gallery, in way or another, is influenced by the work of Charles and Henry Greene. Darrell Peart first started working in the style in the 1980’s. He has written two books, numerous magazine articles, videos, taught, and lectured on Greene and Greene Furniture.
These days Darrell is semiretired. But retirement does not mean what you might think. Darrell loves to build furniture and that is what he will continue to do. The challenge of taking on a project that stretches his abilities and knowledge beyond his comfort zone – excites him.
His primary passion has always been with design. He is not one to make nonfunctional “art furniture “though. He does however approach furniture as if it were art. He strives to honor the function of a piece while creating a design that is original and has “fire in its soul”.
Darrell is now limiting the projects he accepts. If you would like to commission a new design or a pieces in the gallery – Contact Darrell. Either Darrell or one of his two former employees will be available.
Please visit the Furniture Ready to Ship page on this website for furniture that has been built and ready for immediate sale.
