Nicole’s Wave Desk

I made this desk for my older daughter who has a condo with limited space. Nicole provided me the overall dimensions and functions. Those functions included three drawers – one of which was to be for files. She also wanted a top that would expand so she could do craft projects.
The style and design were entirely up to me (that’s the deal with my kids – they tell me the function and I get to design at my whim.). I had been playing with the idea of wavy shapes and settled on a gentle wave that passes through the drawers.
As it turned out this design had a couple of spinoffs (sort of – long story involving snakes and storms) the went to my other two children.
